Activities & Programs

SOS offers a wide variety of programming beyond our worship services: From our annual Bicycling Event, Ski Day, and Summer Hikes to our Book Club, Knitting Group, Children’s Storytime with Rabbi, and periodic Cultural Outings…there is something for everyone.

Do you like to knit? Would you like to make a difference in our community? Join us for a knitting session to make projects benefitting community programs such as Summit Country Advocates for Victims of Assault Safe Nights Program. All levels welcome, including non- knitters who want to learn. We will provide yarn, needles and instruction. Contact Marci Aerenson at to find out when our next session will be offered.

Meetings are usually the first Monday of the month and they’re held at different homes each month. If you are interested in joining and would like more information, please contact Ira Tane at and you will be added to the email list.

We are happy to announce that Synagogue of the Summit has partnered with PJ Library Collection and Jewish Colorado to bring stories to the children of Summit County. Look for upcoming “Story Time with Rabbi Ruthie” dates and age groups on our website. RSVP to or call (850) 830-8448.
