Shabbat Services

Our monthly Kabbalat Shabbat and Pot Luck Shabbat services are held throughout the county in a unique way that allows us to enjoy the beauty of our area in our collective worship.  From a glorious Mountain-Top Shabbat Service  to a cozy, indoor Pot Luck Shabbat Dinner, we invite you to join us for every season.




  • July 13     Hike, Picnic Dinner, & Kabbalat Shabbat on Keystone Mountain
    Welcome Shabbat at our July Lay Led Kabbalat Shabbat service with an evening of hiking, praying and, of course, eating! Please bring a picnic dinner, including drinks, for you and your family to enjoy.  Synagogue of the Summit will provide Kiddush Wine and Challah for a Motzi.  Here’s the schedule:

5:00 PM – Meet and load at the bottom of the River Run Gondola, Keystone. Gondola will be FREE for our event
5:30 PM – Hike with us along the scenic Dercum Hiking Trail. 1.75 mile gradual to moderate loop trail. 
6:15 PM – Pray with us during a musical Kabbalat Shabbat Service. Led by Synagogue of the Summit’s Lay Leader: Barry Skolnick, with musical accompaniment by: Ron and Betsy Cytron
6:45 PM – Eat a picnic dinner with friends and family atop Keystone Mountain Don’t forget to bring your picnic!
7:30 PM – Hike back to top of River Run Gondola and load for the base of Keystone
